Interior Lighting Design for Homes and Offices

Lighting changes how every material and room feels. Plan it with the layout, not after it.

Think in layers

Combine general (ambient), task and accent lighting. One central fitting rarely does any of the three well.

Choose colour temperature deliberately

Warmer light suits living and sleeping areas; cooler, brighter light suits work areas. Keep it consistent within a space.

Control glare

Shielded fittings and well-placed sources reduce harsh reflections, especially on screens and glossy surfaces.

Add controls

Dimmers and separate circuits let a room change with the time of day and activity.

Plan early

Ceiling design, wiring and fitting positions are hard to change once finishes are done. Decide them with the layout.
